Baked Methi (Fenugreek) Puri

Preparation time – 15 minutes
Cooking time – 45 to 50 minutes

Wheat flour – 2 cup
Asafoetida/ hing – ½ Teaspoon
Turmeric powder – ½ Teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1 Teaspoon
Salt to taste
Fresh fenugreek leaves – ¼ to ½ cup
Curd – 2 Tablespoons
Oil – 2 Tablespoons
Baking powder – ¼ Teaspoon
Water – as required

Mix all dry ingredients well, add required water and knead semi hard dough. Rest it for 10 minutes.

Divide dough into 3 to 4 equal parts.

Roll out each portion into 6 to 7 inch diameter. Cut into your favourite shape with the help of cookie cutter.

Prick the all puri with fork. Apply some oil with the use of brush.

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180c for 20 to 25 minutes, then turn around, bake for 20 minutes or till the puris are golden brown.

Let it cool down.

Store in an air-tight container.

Note: I have Samsung convection Microwave. Baking time may differ as different brands.
