Khatti Dal


Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 8 to 10 minutes

Serving: 2 

Ingredients:

Urad Dal , (skinless ),Boiled – 1/2 cup
Butter Milk - 1/4 cup
Water As Required
Oil - 3 Tablespoons
Muster Seeds - 2 Teaspoons
Curry Leaves - 4 to 5
Asafoetida(Hing)  - 1/4 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped – 2 tablespoons



Method:
Heat oil in pan. Add Muster seeds, as they begin to splutter, add curry leaves, hing Turmeric powder, red chilli powder, add boiled urad dal, mix well.

Add salt, butter milk, water if required, simmer it for 4 to 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve Hot.  

Note: No need to mash urad dal.
