Ingredients:
Drumsticks – 200 gm
Oil – 2 to 3 Tablespoons
Cumin seeds – 1 Teaspoon
Asafoetida – ¼
Teaspoon
Dried red chilies – 2 to 3
White sesame seeds – 1 Tablespoon
Black sesame seeds – ½ Teaspoon for garnishing
Garlic, finely chopped – 8 to 10 cloves
Green chills – 2 to 3
Ginger – ½ inch
Besan (gram flour) – 3 Tablespoons
Butter milk – 2 to 3 cups
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – ¼ Teaspoon
Method:
Blend garlic, green chills, ginger well, make semi crushed
paste. Keep aside.
Wash drumsticks, cut into 3 inch pieces, then slit into 2
parts. Boil drumsticks till cook or soft. Keep side.
Heat oil in pan, add dried red chilli, cumin seeds, ginger- garlic-green chills paste sauté it for 15 to 20 second. Add white sesame seeds, asafoetida,
mix well.
Add besan, sauté for 4 to 5 minutes or till become light
brown.
Add buttermilk and stir continuously. Add turmeric powder,
salt, mix well. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes on slow flame.
Add boiled drumsticks into curry, cook for 2 to 3 minutes or
till curry become semi thick.
