Mung Dal Aur Hare Pyaaz Ki Sabji ( Simple + Easy To Cook + Source Of Protein )





Ingredients:

Mung Dal - 1/2 cup
Butter Milk - 2 cup
Chopped Onions - 2 medium
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tablespoon
Chopped Green chilly - 2
Muster Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 2 Tablespoons
hing - Pinch
Spring Onions - 1/2 cup
Salt To Taste
Red Chilly Powder - 2 Tesspoons
Turmeric - 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder - 1 Teaspoon

Method:

Soak Mung Dal for 3 to 4 hours.
Take one pan and heat oil. Add Muster seeds and let them splutter.
Add Hing and chopped onions , ginger - garlic paste , green chillies and saute for 1 minute.
Add Soaked mung dal and mix well .
Add turmeric powder , red chilly powder , coriander powder ,salt and mix well.
Add Butter milk  and mix well .cover it and cook for 10 minute.
Add Spring onions and mix well .cook for 30 seconds .
Serve Hot with Roti or paratha.

  1. Will the moong dal become completely soft or remain a bit hard to chew??

  2. Hi Ns. Moong Dal should be soft. 2 cup of buttermilk is enough for soft texture.
